07 BEFORE WE BEGIN
A little clarity before the first coat.
Have a different question? Let’s talk ↗Cost depends on floor area, the coating system and the condition of your concrete. No automatic pricing is shown. Use the project planner to choose your area and finish; a site assessment is needed for a written quote.
Possibly. Cracks, existing coatings, contamination and moisture need assessment before any coating is recommended. Preparation and repair requirements should be set out in your project scope.
Preparation, application and curing each take time. Your schedule depends on the chosen system and site conditions. Confirm the installation dates and permitted foot and vehicle traffic before work begins.
Traction depends on the coating, surface texture and whether the floor is wet or contaminated. Discuss anti-slip additives and cleaning needs so the finish can be selected for your space.
A suitable concrete coating system can be a good option. Moisture, winter road salts, UV exposure and vehicle use all inform the recommendation for garage epoxy floors in Calgary.
Snowmelt and road salt can leave moisture and residue on a garage floor. Freeze–thaw movement and existing concrete damage also need assessment. Discuss drainage, moisture testing, substrate repairs, coating suitability and cleaning before choosing a system. No coating should be assumed to prevent all salt damage, cracking or freeze–thaw effects.
Sweep away grit and use cleaning products appropriate to the selected coating. Ask for system-specific care and curing guidance, and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools unless approved.
